A proven effective leader in Fulton County, Liz Hausmann serves as Vice-Chair on the Fulton County Commission. She previously served on the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, the Fulton Board of Education, and the inaugural Johns Creek City Council.
Liz effectively leads on public-private partnerships resulting in Fulton’s booming economic development, and modernization of the transportation system. As both a Commissioner and as a former executive with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, she has worked to bring good jobs and training for a qualified workforce to Fulton County.
Liz has been a pivotal leader in maintaining private-public partnerships that drive real business growth and development. She has also led the development of a comprehensive Fulton transportation overhaul, leading to the passage of the 2016 TSPLOST and the 2017 Fulton Transit Master Plan.
Liz has been selected by her peers to serve in leadership roles with the National Association of Counties and has driven policy around the country by serving as Chairman of the NACo’s Transportation Steering committee, as well as Chairman of the Airport Subcommittee.
A leader among her peers, Liz has been appointed to numerous service boards, commissions, and civic organizations such as the Georgia Governor’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, ACCG Federal Government Committee, ACCG Board of Managers, AtlantaFulton County Water Resources Commission, Wellstar North Fulton Advisory Board, Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, and the Fulton County Education Foundation.
